Sugar Land, TX

Over 37 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Graduated from the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene in 1969, with a B.S. degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, TX. Practiced dental hygiene in Oklahoma, Texas, and Alaska.

Has had several articles published in RDH Magazine.

Was chosen as a SunStar Butler, “Award of Distinction” winner in 2004.

Nominated Anne Guignon, RDH,MPH, of Houston, TX., for “Mentor of the Year” 2004, which Anne did indeed receive.

Received the “C.A.S.A. of the Year” award in 1994 for Ft. Bend County, TX.

C.A.S.A. stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate for children of child abuse and neglect. She continues to support that program.

Has been active in state and local hygiene associations and was president of the Oklahoma Dental Hygienist’s Association in 1972-73. She has recently served as the Hospitality Chair for the Greater Houston Dental Hygienist’s Society. Organized an assisted dental hygiene program in two dental offices, and is available as a consultant.

Volunteers in Richmond and Houston, TX. by providing prophys, fluoride treatments, and sealants for underprivileged children.

Active in her local church, and chairs a volunteer group that provides needs for young couples with children who are struggling to make a living.

Loves spending time with her grandchildren which includes 4 granddaughters and one grandson who live in the Dallas, TX. area. (Pictured are 21 year old daughter Kayli, Trinity, Skylar, and Darrian, granddaughters, Shirley, and husband, Rick Cross.)
