Ann-Marie is a graduate of the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and a holds a Bachelor of Health Science Degree from Northeastern University.  Ann-Marie is pursing a Masters Degree in Education in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts.   Ann-Marie is active in the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’Association having served in various positions, including Treasurer, and is also a past president of the Forsyth Alumni Association and a member of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene. 

 In 2000, she was awarded the Massachusetts Dental Society’s Hygienist of the Year Award.  Active in her community, she is a Minister of the Word at her church and a member of several parents’ groups.  Ann-Marie is currently the extramural rotation coordinator and pre-clinic instructor at Mt. Ida College’s Dental Hygiene Program and had been employed in various capacities in both periodontal and general practices for over 25 years.

She is a certified instructor in both the Dental Hygiene and Practice Management Implant Certification Programs of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries (a component of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists), and a Fellow of ADIA.  Ann-Marie has been an educational consultant for several leading implant manufacturers, with programs geared toward team members.

She has also written articles for dental hygiene publications on dental implants.  In addition, Ann-Marie has lectured and written articles on TMD, with one article being included in the NIH’s National Oral Health Clearinghouse’s Information packet on TMD.  She is the founder of the TMJ Network, an educational resource for patients, as well as being involved in the TMJ Association, a national patient advocacy group.  She is also a speaker for the Seattle Study Club’s Contemporary Periodontal Management Series.  Ann-Marie is married with two sons, and has also developed a program for the dental team on recognizing childhood developmental delays. 

She has also been a Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Early Intervention Re-certification Program parent member.  In addition, Ann-Marie is currently a columnist for RDH Magazine and a member of ADHA’s Access Magazine’s Reader Advisory Board.
